Q: Do I need any prior experience with, or knowledge of AI?
A: No. This course in introductory in nature and assumes no previous learning or requirements. You do not need to be tech-savvy.
You will however, need to register with an AI provider before the course starts to participate in the exercises. We will send you information on how to do that once you book your place in the course (it’s FREE and very simple to do).
Q: What software do I need to access and download to participate? Do I have to pay?
A: There is nothing to download. Everything is browser based, but you will need to be registered with your preferred AI provider beforehand to participate in the exercises.
While the free versions of AI are fine to learn the core concepts, paid subscriptions to ChatGPT (OpenAI), Claude (Anthropic) or Gemini Pro (Google) will enable better quality results.
The course will mainly leverage ChatGPT 4o in most of the tasks and demonstrations.
But the free versions of Claude and Gemini are used for comparisons. Perplexity (that’s an AI tool, not the noun) is also examined.
Q: Does the course cover any non-writing activities?
A: No. A range of business writing contexts are the key focus. AI tasks like image or chart creation, automation, graphic design, coding, programming, music, video and the like are not included.
