By purchasing you become a Member of the Freelance Writing Masterclass Program and you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Service
The Australian Writers’ Centre (the “Provider”) agrees to provide services of the Freelance Writing Masterclass Program. You agree to abide by all policies and procedures as outlined in this agreement as a condition of your participation in the Freelance Writing Masterclass Program.
2. Disclaimer
You understand that the Provider does not offer any representations, warranties, or guarantees, verbally or in writing, regarding your earnings, business profit, client acquisition skills or any results of any kind. You agree that your results are dependent on various factors including but not limited to, your own skill, knowledge, ability, dedication, hard work.
Except as specifically provided in this agreement or where the law requires a different standard, you agree that the Provider is not responsible for any loss, property damage, or bodily injury, caused by membership of the Freelance Writing Masterclass Program or information obtained therefrom. To the maximum extent permissible under applicable law, the Provider will not be responsible to you or any third party claims through you for any direct, indirect, special or consequential, economic or other damages arising in any way caused by membership of the Freelance Writing Masterclass Program or information obtained therefrom.
3. Freelance Writing Masterclass Program Membership Structure
All Freelance Writing Masterclass Program memberships include a minimum 12-month commitment.
Annual Fee – If you join the Freelance Writing Masterclass Program through the Annual Fee option your credit card will be charged the annual fee at the commencement of your membership. After the first 12 months from your original date of membership you agree that your credit card will then be charged the applicable monthly fee, currently $65 (incl. GST). This monthly fee is payable and will be charged to your credit card every month that you remain a member of the Freelance Writing Masterclass Program. You can cancel your membership of the Freelance Writing Masterclass Program at any time once the initial 12 month period has been completed.
After the initial 12 month period, the monthly fee may vary. If this occurs, you will be advised via email in advance of this happening.
Monthly payment option – If you elect to pay your membership of the Freelance Writing Masterclass Program on the monthly basis, you agree that your credit card will be automatically charged the monthly fee every month for a minimum period of 12 months.
After the first 12 months from your original date of membership you agree that your credit card will continue to be charged the applicable monthly fee. This monthly fee is payable and will be charged to your credit card every month that you remain a member of the Freelance Writing Masterclass Program. You can cancel your membership of the Freelance Writing Masterclass Program at any time once the initial 12-month period has been completed.
After your original commitment of 12 months, the monthly fee may vary. If this occurs, you will be advised via email in advance of this happening.
4. Cancellation
You cannot cancel during the first 12 months of your membership of the Freelance Writing Masterclass Program. After this minimum period of commitment, you will continue to be charged a monthly rate and you are welcome to cancel at any time.
If you wish to cancel your membership, you must do so by emailing [email protected].
If you became a member before 1 January 2022 there are further cancellation conditions outlined at 11 below.
5. Refund Policy
You are responsible for full payment of fees for the initial 12 month period of your membership of the Freelance Writing Masterclass Program. You understand that the fees are non-refundable.
6. Confidentiality
The Providers respect your privacy and insist that you respect the privacy of the Provider and the other Freelance Writing Masterclass Program members (herein referred to as “Participants”). Thus, consider this a mutual non-disclosure agreement. Any Confidential Information shared by the Provider, any representative of the Provider, or the Participants in the program is confidential, proprietary, and belongs solely and exclusively to the Party who discloses it. All Parties agree not to disclose, reveal or make use of any Confidential Information or any transactions, during discussions, from the forum or otherwise.
You agree not to use such confidential information in any manner other than in discussion with the Provider or other Participants. Confidential Information includes, but is not limited to, information disclosed in connection with this Agreement, and shall not include information rightfully obtained from a third party.
Both Parties will keep Confidential Information in strictest confidence and shall use the best efforts to safeguard the Confidential Information and to protect it against disclosure, misuse, espionage, loss and theft. The parties understand that the other may release Confidential Information when release is necessary to comply with the law.
Further, you agree that if you violate or display any likelihood of violating this section the Provider and/or the other Participant will be entitled to injunctive relief to prohibit any such violations to protect against the harm of such violations.
7. Non-Disclosure of Materials
Material provided to you is proprietary, copyrighted and developed specifically for the Provider. You agree that such proprietary material is solely for your own personal use. All program materials are copyright and you agree never to sell, rent or otherwise distribute your course materials in any way.
8. No Transfer of Intellectual Property
The Freelance Writing Masterclass Program is copyrighted and the original materials that have been provided to you are for your individual use only and a single-user license. All intellectual property, including Provider Copyrighted Service, shall remain the sole property of the Provider. No license to sell or distribute Provider’s materials is granted or implied.
9. Termination of membership
The Provider reserves the right to cancel a Participant’s membership at any time. The Provider is committed to providing all Participants in the Freelance Writing Masterclass Program with a positive experience. You agree that the Provider may, at its sole discretion, terminate this Agreement, and limit, suspend, or terminate your access to the Freelance Writing Masterclass Program without refund or forgiveness of payments if Client become disruptive to the Provider, its officers, or Participants, difficult to work with or upon violation of the terms as determined by Provider. You will still be liable to pay the total contract amount.
We reserve the right to cancel or terminate membership of the Freelance Writing Masterclass Program or refuse any enrolment as permitted by law.
We also reserve the right to change the presenters of the Freelance Writing Masterclass Program in certain circumstances. Naturally, if in the unlikely event the Freelance Writing Masterclass Program is cancelled by us, you will be offered a full refund.
10. Miscellaneous
A) Limitation of Liability. You agree that you are a member of the Freelance Writing Masterclass Program at your own risk and that the Freelance Writing Masterclass Program is only an educational service being provided. You accept any and all risks, foreseeable or unforeseeable.
You agree that the Provider will not be held liable for any damages of any kind resulting or arising from including but not limited to; direct, indirect, incidental, special, negligent, consequential, or exemplary damages happening from the use or misuse of the use of materials and knowledge gained through membership of the Freelance Writing Masterclass Program. You knowingly, voluntarily, and expressly, waive any claim for damages including but not limited to; injury or death you may sustain as a result of participating in the Freelance Writing Masterclass Program.
You further declare and represent that no promise, inducement or agreement not herein expressed has been made to you to enter into this release. The release made pursuant to this paragraph shall bind your heirs, executors, personal representatives, successors, assigns, and agents.
B) Governing Law/Venue. All disputes regarding the construction, interpretation and parties’ obligations under this Agreement will be governed by and construed in accordance with the state of New South Wales in Australia.
C) Communication. All enrolled students are automatically included on the Australian Writers' Centre's mailing list, which informs people about upcoming courses, writing opportunities, author events, competitions and exclusive discounts with our partners. We think that’s a really good thing, but of course you are welcome to unsubscribe at any time.
11. Cancellation for members that joined before 1 January 2022
If you have enrolled on via the flexible monthly option, you can cancel any time.
If you have committed to the first year of the program, you have agreed to be charged an agreed monthly rate ending 12 months after your initial start date. You cannot cancel during this period. After your minimum period of commitment, you will continue to be charged a monthly rate and you are welcome to cancel at any time.
If you have committed to the second year of the program, you have agreed to be charged an agreed monthly rate for 24 months from your initial start date. You cannot cancel during this period. After your minimum period of commitment, you will continue to be charged a monthly rate and you are welcome to cancel at any time.
If you have committed to the third year of the program, you have agreed to be charged an agreed monthly rate for 36 months from your initial start date. You cannot cancel during this period. After your minimum period of commitment, you will continue to be charged a monthly rate and you are welcome to cancel at any time.

If you have joined under a special promotion price, and subsequently cancel your membership, you can rejoin at any time in the future at the regular retail rate.
